Le Palais Hotel is a striking, abandoned hotel on Koh Phangan that has become a fascinating stop for those passing by. Though no longer operational, the architectural beauty of the building is impossible to ignore. Designed in the style of a Hindu temple, it closely resembles the iconic Angkor Wat with its intricate details and towering structures. Unfortunately, the hotel had to close its doors, reportedly due to a conflict with Cambodia over the commercial use of such sacred architectural styles.
