An evening of oral storytelling told entirely from memory, accompanied by live improvised music.

This week, Daniel Allison will share a selection of ancient legends from Wales. Once a centre of druidism in Britain, Wales is home to a culture and storytelling tradition stretching back thousands of years, to long before the Roman invasion.

Its stories are as magical as they are ancient — filled with witches, dragons and the Tylwyth Teg, Wales’ own mysterious fairy folk.

Come and experience these tales in the spirit in which they were once shared in the feasting halls — spoken aloud, carried by memory and brought to life through voice and music, just as they might have been a thousand years ago.

✨ Daniel Allison is a professional oral storyteller who learned his craft from Scottish elders. He has written multiple books exploring Celtic myths and leads mythic retreats in the Scottish Highlands.

🎸 Daniel is accompanied by Mannu, a skilled guitarist who improvises live alongside the stories, creating a unique musical landscape for the evening.
