Koh Phangan ferry schedule: How to get to and from the Island

There is no airport on the island. You can reach Koh Phangan (and leave it) by ferry from the mainland (Surat Thani and Chumphon) and the islands of Samui and Koh Tao.

Most travelers start from Samui since it is the closest island with an airport. Ferries run daily. Travel time: about 30-60 minutes depending on the ferry type.

If you’re coming from the mainland, Surat Thani is your best option. Ferries depart daily. Travel time: 2–3 hours.

If you’re visiting Koh Tao before Phangan, ferries between these islands also run daily. Travel time: about 1.5 hours.

There are several ferry operators on Phangan, such as Lomprayah, Raja Ferry, and Songserm. You can visit the ferry operators’ websites and book your tickets for the desired date directly online, ensuring you secure your spot in advance.

Lomprayah offers fast catamarans, perfect if you want to reach your destination quickly.

Raja Ferry also transports vehicles, so if you need to take a motorbike or car, they are a good option.

Songserm is a budget-friendly option if you’re looking for a cheaper ticket.

Seatran Discovery — modern, comfortable ferries connecting key destinations like Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, and the mainland, making island travel convenient for travelers.

Seatran Ferry is a large ferry company offering transportation for both passengers and vehicles between the mainland (Donsak) and Koh Samui, providing convenient and reliable connections for travelers and locals alike.

The Haad Rin Queen Ferry is the most affordable and slowest way to travel between Samui and Koh Phangan. The fare is only 200 baht per person, and you can also transport your motorbike for 500 baht.
