Why Nam Beach, also known as Wai Nam, is a small and secluded beach on the eastern side of Koh Phangan, located between Haad Yuan and Haad Thien. It’s not a place you usually stumble upon — people come here intentionally, looking for silence, nature and space.
The beach is compact, surrounded by jungle and rocks, giving it a tucked-away, protected feeling. The sea is generally calm in good conditions, though the beach is better suited for relaxing, walking and soaking in the atmosphere rather than long swims. The pace here is slow and deeply peaceful.
Why Nam is often considered part of the Haad Yuan — Haad Thien — Wai Nam area, yet it remains the most intimate and quiet of the three. It attracts those who want to disconnect completely and experience a more raw side of the island.
