Hello friends! 🦎 Today I found myself in a truly unique spot — Seaside Sunset Bar. This is more than a beach bar; it’s a cultural hub where music meets sunsets, the ocean, and the spirit of freedom.

My guest today is Dava Di Toma — artist, cultural figure, DJ, producer, and event promoter. He’s also the founder and owner of Solar Conexion, which he has merged with Seaside, creating a one-of-a-kind venue for gatherings, music, and cultural events.

We decided to do an interview to dive deeper into the story of this place and the person behind it.

🦎 What inspired you to create Seaside Sunset Bar and combine it with Solar Conexion? How has the venue evolved since opening?
🦸‍♂️ I had been managing Seaside parties for three years already, and then I decided to put all my energy into this place and bring my Solar Conexion parties to this unique venue with huge potential and a special, unmistakable vibe. Since opening, Seaside has been renovated to bring even more happiness and freedom — like the new second-floor terrace and the bar — and this is just the beginning; more is on the way.

🦎 Koh Phangan is famous for its party culture — how does your project fit into the island’s clubbing landscape?
🦸‍♂️ When I create a party and a space, I aim to bring a unique atmosphere with quality music, a quality crowd, and quality service where everybody feels happy, comfortable, and free.

🦎 What makes Seaside Sunset Bar × Solar Conexion different from other beach bars and nightspots?
🦸‍♂️ Seaside is the only party place in Haad Rin where you can watch the sunset; the second-floor terrace is the best spot for it. You’ll always find a special and unique vibe, with tourists and locals together. At Seaside you’ll feel safe and comfortable — we always take care to make sure you have your best time.

🦎 How do you see the balance between tourism, the local community, and electronic music culture on Koh Phangan?
🦸‍♂️ This is exactly what we create at Seaside — tourists and locals together, the best music, the best vibes, and making everybody happy. And it works.

🦎 You are a founder, owner, and DJ — how do you connect your personal music style with the atmosphere of the project?
🦸‍♂️ Music has been inside me since childhood and will be forever. It’s a passion first of all — the passion to share good vibes, energy, and love with everyone. That’s what I bring to every place where I make parties, always with the best music for people who love quality sound.

🦎 Which artists or DJs have already played here that you’re especially proud of hosting?
🦸‍♂️ We’ve already had many of the best local DJs at Seaside — like Peter G, David Chong, Tino Moreno (our resident), and many more — plus strong international artists such as Pavel Petrov, Monostone, Nakadia, and others. It’s just the beginning — I promise more big names are coming soon. 😉

🦎 How has Koh Phangan’s club culture changed in recent years, and where is it heading?
🦸‍♂️ Koh Phangan has changed a lot compared with ten years ago. The music culture has diversified, which I think is good, but the cost of living has also gone up. We lost some people from the old days and welcomed new people. More buildings have brought more complaints about parties — and more rules too.

🦎 What challenges have you faced running a music venue on an island, and how have you overcome them?
🦸‍♂️ The biggest challenge is too many parties and too many new promoters who don’t respect other events. Too many parties on the same day means fewer people at each party — and less profit. If everyone respected each other and tried not to schedule parties on the same day, everybody would win. And of course, respecting the rules and the neighbors is priority number one.

🦎 Can you share a memorable story or moment from Seaside Sunset Bar × Solar Conexion that really defines its spirit?
🦸‍♂️ The story of how Seaside started for me is special. I was in Haad Rin waiting for a friend when a Thai man on a scooter stopped and asked if I was Dava Di Toma. I said yes, and he told me he wanted to book me — he needed to organize parties at his place to support his family. I said, «I’m organizing parties too, and I can help you.» He was very happy, and we started working together at Seaside — and it became more and more popular. That man is Sammy, who is now my brother and my family. The Seaside family is unique: everybody cares about everybody. Every artist who has played here feels it and tells us this place has a soul — a special and beautiful soul.

🦎 What are your future plans — both for the project and for your career as Dava Di Toma the DJ?
🦸‍♂️ My plan is to make Seaside one of the best places on Koh Phangan — to put all my energy and love into it, create the best events, and keep renovating and building to bring fresh life to Seaside. And as a DJ, to always find the best music and vibes to share with the best people — with love, positive energy, and unity.
